LAST-MINUTE TIPS TO PREPARE FOR GATE 2023 EXAM

With less than a month left for the GATE 2023 exam, here are some of the ways that will surely help students to score high marks in the exam.

The Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE) is an exam which is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) and seven institutes of technology (IITs). Basically, the aim behind the exam is to check emerging engineers’ knowledge and clarity in concepts. As per the official information, this year the GATE 2023 is scheduled to commence on February 4, 2023.

To ease the hardships of students and make them stress-free during their preparation, here are some of the tips that help them to ace it.

Mock test

Applicants must start their preparation by doing as many difficult tests. Solving the previous sample papers will not only help increase your knowledge and concepts but also boost your confidence. By this, the applicant gets to know about his or her strong and weak points with more practice and gets familiar with the questions easily.

Revision

After the mock test, the second important step is to focus on the main subjects where you have full command of the questions. Thoroughly revise all notes in the time available. Start revising your full syllabus to strengthen areas you are good at.

Be calm

During the preparation time, most of the students get under stress and pressure, which leads them to become nervous and tense about exams. It is very important to stay positive throughout this time. Go for a walk, listen to music, play a sport, or meditate.

Virtual calculator

To do tough calculations one needs a virtual calculator. Get used to working out on that, as it helps students to boost their speed on it.

Avoid unnecessary discussions

Don’t try to pre-assume about the question paper or any other thing that will affect your preparedness. Each person prepares in his or her own way. Don’t stress yourself about your friends’ strategies.

Pattern

Try being well versed with the syllabus and the changes to the exam pattern that are important. Keep a close eye on the official website for recent updates and information related to the exam.

Section-wise preparation

Prepare section-wise and check out the marking scheme thoroughly to concentrate more on scoring areas and questions.
